Leaders of the Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG) today paid a courtesy call on the Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Mahamud Bawumia at the Jubilee House.
Led by President Kwabena Yeboah, vice President Maurice Quansah, General Secretary Charles Osei Asibey[Barrister], and Deputy General Secretary Thomas Boakye-Agyeman Krugger met the vice president to console him on the loss of his mother.
Hajia Mahama Bawumia, Mother of the vice President of Ghana Bawumia died on Monday 13th September 2021 after a short illness. The SWAG executives went there to express their condolences and sympathies to the Vice President and his family.
Also, they took the opportunity to discuss issues about Ghana Sports including Swag awards.
SWAG has announced December 3, 2021, as the date for the 46th MTN SWAG Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The 46th MTN SWAG Awards will see so many sports personalities being honored. At the launch of the Awards, Kwabena Yeboah, President of SWAG said the best five performing sports federations would be recognized by the association while for the first time, the best sports journalist will also be honored.
