Ghanaian Female Footballer of the Year 2015 and Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has opened up the reason she is not with the Black Queens of Ghana now but not because of dropping Elizabeth Addo.
This explanation was made after a statement from the member of the Ghana Womens Premier League committee, Rosalind Amoh on GtvSports+ Studio 5 show with the Host Ms. Gloria Peprah on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
According to Rosalind Amoh the Black Queens star did not join the team for the AWCON qualifiers against Nigeria on Wednesday just because her friend and the captain of team Elizabeth Addo was dropped from the squad that went for the Aisle Buhari Cup and the qualifiers.
After this statement, Jennifer Cudjoe also came out to give an explanation on her Twitter page saying “On Wednesday, the 20th, Madam Rosalind Amoh and Ekow Asmah were guests on GTV Sports Plus show on Studio 5 with the Host Gloria. She was asked about the conflict that is going on in the womens national team. And she particularly mentioned my name because I didn’t join the team since I’m friends with Elizabeth Addo. This is a lie. I did not join the team because nobody has reached out to me or invited me to join camp after the Aisha Buhari Cup.
To be clear, I want the best for our country and the players, but there are so many issues that need to be solved to grow the women’s game in Ghana.
The former Secondi Hasaacas Ladies players is currently with Gotham FC, a professional women’s soccer team based in Harrison, New Jersey.
