Kotoko Board in a crucial meeting today

The 12 Directors of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club are meeting for a crunch tackle on crucial issues pertaining to the smooth running of the club .

The Kotoko Board will today this afternoon at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi deliberate on the journey so far especially crucial issues of last season which were left unattended to. This was as a result of confusion among the board at a point as well as with Management sometimes ,which necissated a meeting with the owner and sole shareholder Otumfuo Osei Tutu II days ago .

It is reported that the board chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei allegedly sought permission to tender in his resignation later ,which was subsequently rejected by Otumfuo who asked the Directors to meet and find lasting solution to the problems ,thus today’s meeting .

The meeting is also to go through the programmes and budget for the upcoming season submitted by the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management. The Kotoko team has been in Dubai for a pre season and expected to arrive this morning to continue their preparation for the coming season.

It is not known if the Board will have time to get introduced to the new technical team but ghanasportspage is told Nana Yaw Amponsah is expected to brief and also defend some of the decisions of the management.

He is expected to fly straight to Kumasi for the meeting or speak o them via video in the meeting which will have other issues to discuss including financial contributions and monies to be pumped into the coming season as well as the phase two of the Adako Jaachie project .
