Ghana Football Association(GFA) Executive Council member, Nana Oduro Sarfo has advised Hearts of Oak on how to beat Wydad Athletic Club(WAC) in the return leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
According to the veteran football administrator, the Phobians should be able to withstand WAC’s early pressure and sustain them for the opening 20 minutes of the game in order to secure a much-wanted group stage birth.
Hearts of Oak head into the second leg at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca leading 1-0 on aggregate. A win, a draw or any form of slim defeat put the Phobians through except 1-0, which will send the game into extra time.
The Ghanaian champions landed in Morocco in the early hours of Friday for the deciding match that will be played on Sunday, October 24.
Speaking to Light FM in Kumasi Sarfo said: “Hearts Of Oak should be very careful about the Morocco weather and the North Africans are very dangerous for the first 20minutes.”
The former Chief Executive Officer for Berekum Chelsea added that he is optimistic that Hearts of Oak will sail through to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
“Hearts need to hold them for the first 20minutes if they are able to hold them, I think Hearts can make it to the group stage”
The game is set for 6 PM kickoff Ghana time.
