Coach Kwaku Danso has explained publicly on why he left the Bechem-based GPL side as a manager.
In a statement made on Nimdie Fm, he tagged the President of the club as the one behind his departure and his deed towards him as a coach was agitating and alarming.
“The club president of Bechem United was not appreciating my work that’s why I quit the club” he said.
As an addendum to his statement he pointed out that “The truth is that something happened and all was that the club president was not appreciating my work. I left the club after helping them to be on top of the table.
“Per my views the players are not extraordinary players because of where I took them from unlike Kotoko or Hearts who are capable of signing big players. I see them as normal players and I have groomed them before I brought them. I always say coaching is not only about using cones on the pitch. Some player might even be expert than you the coach in that but how you manage the players depict you as a good coach.
“I managed the players achieve all these but still the president was not appreciating my job. There was a time I spent one hour on phone with him and I told him that his deeds are showing clearly that he is not appropriating my work and I feel sad about that because it got to sometime he personally told me that he wants me to hand over to someone but it seems like he wanted to help me that’s why he hasn’t mutually terminated my contract. In fact, after this statement I realized that integrity is very important so I decided to leave due to all these.”
Mr. Danso is a trained teacher who has been teaching for the past 3 decades.
