Hearts of Oak’s CAF Confederations Cup opponent JS Souara have suffered a 2 – 1 defeat in their first game of the Algeria Ligue 1 2021/22 season to Biskra.
Y. Djahnit scored twice to give the winning team, Biskra FC the victory following bad communication of JS Souara defenders.
Souara’s skipper A.A Lahmeri netted the consolation goal in the last ten minutes into the game from the penalty spot following a foul committed by Biskra defender.
The Souara boys were in search of another goal to level the game but the time was so limited for them to secure that in the second half.
Hearts of Oak will play against the Eagles of Souara at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup play-offs on the 27th of November before the second league in Algeria.
Hearts of Oak were kicked out by Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club after 6 – 2 aggregate scoreline in the CAF Champions League play-offs.
The winner from this ‘do or die’ clash will play in the group stages of the competition.
