Kingsford Boafo of Bibiani Gold Stars has assured the supporters of the club that the ‘Miners’ will stay in the GPL.
Gold Stars had a historic performance in their maiden GPL clash against Brekum Chelsea with a goal victory.
The Western North Region based club booked a qualification to the top flight after topping Zone Two of the First Division League.
Boafo fought to get the only goal against Brekum Chelsea at the Duns Park. They were backed with full support from the people of Bibiani.
The winger was named as the King Of The Match and after grabbing this achievement he has assured the supporters of the club to stay calm because the club will maintain it’s status in the league.
Speaking to Sir Atta Poku on Wontumi Nationwide Sports he revealed “I want to assure the supporters that the club will stay in the league. Nobody should put pressure on the team.
“They should support us with the same support they showed yesterday. We won’t disgrace them.” He said.
