The Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko beat lower side Future Stars 2-1 in a friendly game to boost their performance ahead of the Ghana Premier League tie against Bechem United on Sunday at the renovated Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Future Stars took the lead after a defensive blunder from Kotoko’s back line by the 20th minute.
Clinton Opoku asuom Messi equalized for the Porcupines in the 75th minute and Cameroonian striker George muegue scored the winning goal in the 85th minute of the game.
Kotoko had their preseason in Dubai, United Arab Emirates prior to the season before returning back to their native country, Ghana a few days before the commencement of the league.
Kotoko will return back to the renovated Babayara Sports Stadium in their Matchday 2 game against Bechem United on Sunday after a long term absent which affected them to use the Accra Sports Stadium as their home venue before going back to Obuasi.
The Porcupine Warriors preparing to play their first home game of the season against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, Kotoko chose the lower division side to practice some of the tactics they have rehearsed on Monday and Tuesday.

As a result, goalkeeper Kwame Baah started in post while the back four was made up of Samuel Appiah, Charles Owusu, Maxwell Agyemang and Andrew Appau.
In midfielder, Emmanuel Keyekeh partnered Ibrahim Imoro, Andy Kumi and Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry while Mfegue George Rodrigues and Clinton Opoku led the attack for Kotoko.
Kotoko will host Bechem United on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
