Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe says their star signing Gladson Awako will soon join the GPL reigning champions.
Gladson Awako signed a 2year deal with Hearts of Oak from Accra Great Olympics after the 2020/21 GPL season in an ambition to boost their squad for the CAF Champions League but in a few days, Gladson Awako announced his resignation for joining Hearts of Oak whilst he has already received the signing on fee from the GPL giants.
Hearts of Oak are still trying to get the midfielder back to the Phobian family but the player’s manager is yet to declare where the skipper will go.
Hearts of Oak issued a statement in September on the player’s absence insisting that the club had excused the former Great Olympics man to sort out personal problems.
In an interview with Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, he emphasized “Awako has been registered by Hearts of Oak both Ghana Premier League and CAF interclub competitions [CAF CL & CC] and at the right time they will see him. He told ghanasportspage.com.
“Am a board member of the club, we have not met Gladson Awako concerning termination of contract and also to pay back our debt within six months.” He decredited the local media report.
Gladson Awako is yet to kick a ball in the just started Ghana Premier League campaign.
