Prosper Nartey Ogum is having a great start with his new side Asante Kotoko after achieving two wins in his first two GPL games with the Porcupines.
Kotoko have scored five and conceded one in their two games. They picked their first win over Dreams FC after a ‘magic’ late 3-1 win at the Accra Sports Stadium followed by their 2-0 victory over Bechem United in week two.
The man helped WAFA to end top four after the 2020/21 season and was snatched by Kotoko following the departure of Portuguese tactician Mariano Barreto.
The vision of the club is to win the GPL title and return back to inter club competition in Africa after loosing their spot to the defending champions Accra Hearts of Oak.
After picking his second win of the season over Bechem United in their return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium the tactician has boldly stated not change their style of play even in difficult times.
“Is good to get this win, I mean it was a very good game and is good for me because if you look at how tactically the game was they were very defensively organized and because of that they didn’t allow us to play those penetrative passes and it was difficult for us to actually get the ball behind their defense.”
On his reaction about scoring late goals to secure the two wins he stated, “We still keep to our game plan, we always trust in our process even in difficult times we trust that we can still score ‘no matter the situation we don’t change our style of play’ . We keep to the game plan, we keep to the principles involve in the game plan and that’s what we’ve been doing.” Coach Ogum’s reaction.
Kotoko looks forward to pick their next three points in a week 3 action against Bibiani Gold Stars to continue their unbeaten round.
