Ghanaian queens, Hasacass Ladies has once again lifted the flag of Ghana high after belabouring Moroccan side ASFAR in the semi-final stage of the maiden edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Womens Champions League at the Al Salam Stadium, Cairo in 2-1 emphatic victory.
Doris Boaduwaa stepped upfront to take the lead at the 36th minute for Hasacass before the equalizer from Najat Badri of ASFAR at the 45th minute to rebalance the game before the end of the first half.
Back in the second half, Evelyn Badu who emerged as the Best Player Of Tthe Group Stages delivered a powerful strike assisted by Doris Boaduwaa to retake the lead for Hasacass Ladies during the 77th minute to belabor the Rabat-based ASFAR to reach the last round of the competition.
The Ghanaians proved that winning WAFU-B qualifiers was not a coincidence, as they dominated Group A winning two games and drawing one to go on top. Now they have proved Africa the best of Women football to reach the finals of the maiden edition of the competition.
