The Porcupine Warriors picked their their third win of the season but their rivals Hearts of Oak were only as good to get a point against Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
While Asante Kotoko have secured three straight wins on the way, Hearts of Oak’s winless run continued as the Ghana Premier League as the Week 3 ended today.
The Porcupine Warriors picked a slim 1-0 victory over newly promoted side Bibiani Gold Stars at the Bibiani Dun’s Park. Isaac Oppong got the only goal of the game for the Porcupines.
Hearts, however, recorded their third straight draw of the campaign following a 1-1 home stalemate with Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kofi Kordzi took the lead for Hearts of on the 10th minute and Bright Agyei restored parity for Aduana Stars from the penalty spot.
Elsewhere, King Faisal continued their unbeaten round with an emphatic 2-0 triumph over Ashanti Gold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Goals by Enoch Morrison and Ibrahim Osman ensured that the Alhaji Grusah’s Boys keep hold of their unbeaten round, with nine points from three games.
At the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday evening, Maxwell Quaye’s only goal helped Great Olympics to secure their second win of the season over their regional rivals Legon Cities.
Newly-promoted RTU shocked WAFA at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to pack their first three points of the season after two goals victory. David Abagna continues his scoring magic to score brace for the home side.
Berekum Chelsea were unable to stand the might of Karela at Anyinase, with the running out 2-1 lose.
On the other hand, Bechem United defeated Elmina Sharks by 2-1 scoreline while Eleven Wonders drew 0-0 with Medeama SC.
And finally, Accra Lions were trashed by 3-1 scoreline against Dreams FC at Dawu. Agyenim Boateng scored twice for Dreams and the opener from Ali Huzaif while Rauf Salifu netted the equalizer for the Lions.
