Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has complained about disparities in-stadium attendance allocation in the ongoing Ghana Premier League concerning how the Ghana Football Association issued 4000 fans to the 16,000 capacity Dun’s Park during their game over the weekend while just only 10,000 tickets representing 25percent were allocated for their game against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium which is 40,000 capacity stadium.
In a post sighted, Nana Yaw Amponsah wrote on his official Facebook page, “There are two images here, First is Kotoko vs Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the second Kotoko vs Goldstars at Bibiani Dun’s Park, 10,000 tickets were allocated for the match at the Baba Yara representing 25% of the 40,000 capacity stadium whiles 4000 were issued for DUNS Park which translates the full capacity to be 16,000(I don’t know they arrived at that figure).
“Now Baba Yara and Accra where proper social distancing can adhere isn’t being allowed to take enough thereby denying many the opportunity to watch games yet the opposite is occurring at the other venues”.
“Is the 25% really to fight COVID or just to deny Kotoko and Hearts revenue in these hard times”. He concluded.
