Qatar is set to welcome 32 countries from 5 or 6 confederations for the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup. After the group stages of the World Cup qualifiers in Africa the Black Stars of Ghana have appeared in Pot 2 pending the draw of the play-offs round which will take place on 18th December in Doha, Qatar alongside Cameroon, Egypt, Mali and DR Congo.
Ghana revived their hope of qualifying for the mundial after a narrow win over South Africa in Group G on Sunday at the Cape Coast Sports to secure a place in the playoffs with 13points.
Cameroon emerged from Group D after belabouring Côte d’Ivoire in their last epic group game to gain 15points to progress to the playoffs while Egypt were unbeaten in Group F with 14 to surpass the likes of Angola, Libya and Gabon.
Mali also advanced from Group E with 15 points to book a place in the playoffs while DR Congo prevailed from Group J after gaining 11points.
Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Nigeria are found in Pot 1 for the playoffs draw.
Senegal finished first in Group H with 16points which guarantee them the ticket to participate in the playoffs as well as Algeria who were also undefeated in Group A with 14points.
On the other hand, Morocco finished first in Group I with the maximum points of 18 to grab the key for the next round of the qualifiers in the World Cup.
Elsewhere, Tunisia and Nigeria are also through to the playoffs of after battling hard to join the train. Tunisia emerged as the champions of Group B with 13points as the same as Nigeria who topped Group C.

The play-offs games is scheduled to be played in March next year a month after the 2021 Africa Cup of nations in Cameroon.
