Former Ghana Football Association president, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has tasked the Ghanaian government to invest in the local league so that the nation will enjoy good football.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe worked as the President of the Ghana Football Association between the years of 2001 and 2005 helping Ghana to qualify for their first-ever World Cup in 2006.
According to him if Ghana want an improvement in the football fraternity then the government should invest more in the game for the accomplishment of that mission.
Speaking about Ghana’s World Cup qualification performance he indicated “Ghana should make sure we invest more in football that the government should put in more money to help the game and also the training should be done well for the boys to be able to get to international standard.
“That’s the most important. If you don’t do that it can have a good effect on the team.” He said.
Ghana has now secured a place in the upcoming World qualifiers play-offs after topping Group G with 13points with a goal difference to surpass their joint leaders, South Africa.
