Former Ghanaian referee, GK Manu has assessed the the performance of Ghanaian referees after Week 3 of the 2021/22 GPL season.
Referee GK Manu insists we haven’t reached anywhere this season but there’s an improvement so far and since day one of the Premier League the referees have shown an outstanding performance.
“So far so good, I can’t give them hundred percent. As a human being not all the time that we will get a right decision but checking on the matches played so far they have done well. There’s an improvement and I think they have performed better.
Comparing the current performance of the referees to the previous leagues he also divulged, “When you compare it to last year we had some problems during the start but for now people are gradually understanding certain things so am sure that those errors won’t happen this season.
“The referees have gone through a training. Right now there are assessors but they haven’t commenced their work yet but when they start working it is going to also harmonize their officiating. We are gradually moving forward.” He stated.
Referee GK Manu worked as an officiating official in the GPL over a decade.
