Moroccan side ASFAR Rabat have made a history of becoming the first club to win a bronze medal in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Malabo Kings in the third and fourth place by 3-1 emphatic win.
Ghizlane Chebak scored twice for ASFAR and the opener from Fatima Tagnaout. Carolina Pereira also get the consolation for Malabo Kings on the 50th minute.
ASFAR Rabat emerged from Group B but couldn’t progress to the finals after loosing to Ghanaian side Hasacass Ladies by 2-1 scoreline in the semi-final stage.
Hasaacas Ladies will in the finals play against South African side Mamelodi Sundowns tomorrow to end the mundial in Egypt.
