Former Black Stars defender and Bayern Munich legend, Sammy Osei Kuffuor has divulged that the penalty awarded to the Black Stars during their recent game South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday is a clear penalty.

Following the decision, the South African Football Association, SAFA have filed a complaint against the referee Maguette N’Diaye to the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA the decision to award Ghana that controversial penalty.
According to the legend Sammy Kuffuor, the referee was not away from his sight and it was clear penalty.

“For me is a penalty, you may see from different angle, you have your opinion about the whole situation,” Kuffour told Thomas Mlambo on Ultimate Sports Show.
“I have my opinion, the referee has his opinion, the people of Ghana have their opinion and the people of South Africa have their opinion.
“So for me, in my view, you see, we call something like a contact force if any slightest thing, you could see from the out there, when the corner was given, the referee was giving a warning to the South African defender and Daniel Amartey.
“Because they were troubling against each other, the referee when they were a question there, if you look at the video, he questioned them, and the incident came in.
“For me, I was super excited about the goal, even when I go back to the hotel, and I watch the replay. I can testify it was a penalty.
“For me, when I looked at the play-back, it was a two touches, it was a two touches. The one in front and the one behind him. When I look at the play-back than I can justify It was a penalty for me.”
Osei-kuffour enjoyed his national team career with the Black Stars between the years of 1993 and 2006.
Kuffour who won the Champions League trophy with Bayern in 2001 says Barcelona lack the needed balance of a team that should be the best in the world.
