Accra Lions have tasted their first ever win in their debut GPL appearance after 2-1 triumph victory over Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium in Match Day 4.
It’s a recovery for the newly promoted side following their first three defeat in the season. They opened the season with 1-1 draw against Elmina Sharks and lost 3-1 to Legon Cities before they were pipped by Dreams FC at Dewu in the Week 3.
Bechem United also pipped Elmina Sharks by 2-0 following their defeat to Asante Kotoko with the same result after opening their season with 4-0 tremendous win over Medeama SC.
Christopher Acheampong and Rauf Salifu guided the lads to pick their first ever GPL win after scoring in just five minutes margin between the 29th and the 34th minute.
Accra Lions have now gained four points out of four games and will lock horns against their colleague’s Bibiani Gold Stars while Bechem United will host Dreams FC in Week 5.
