Apart from churning out a sterling performance which propelled Ashantigold to claim 3 points in defeating hearts 2-0, inform Seth Osei is said to have predicted the exact scoreline days before the match.
His fellow players are confirming that indeed Seth Osei had earlier predicted that Ashgold will beat Hearts by two goals to nil and had further encouraged his colleagues to do all they can to protect the two goals and prevent the Phobians from scoring.
The player had also told Pure FM in Kumasi after the match that he is the most excited person because he punished hearts after the Phobians robbed Ashgold of victory in the MTN FA Cup final match in Accra last season.
“Oh yes we did it and the points needed to stay in Obuasi. We thank God for that victory and I am very excited that the two goals I predicted came to pass. Our coaches told us to play for ourselves and support each other on the field. Even when no goals came in the first half I knew the two goals will come and behold, it happened”.
His colleague Yaw Arnol who scored the first goal of the match which happens to be his first goal of the season is also of the view that Ashgold should be counted as one of the teams which can win the league title. He explained that the hearts team is not that poor but Ashgold is a better team than Hearts and worked harder for the 3 points.
