The Confederation of African Football (CAF), have reportedly approved the African Super at the 13th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly held in Cairo, Egypt.
According to a wide range of reports, CAF are expected to announce the decision in the coming days.
“CAF Super League Approved. No details have been provided by CAF but they have adopted a resolution to introduce a Super League,” the report said.
“African Super League’ has been approved at the CAF Extraordinary Congress. President, Patrice Motsepe explained the decision in Ghana; the decision was due to the nature of the deals signed on the CAFCL & CAFCC. It is impossible to cancel those deals hence the Super League.”
Meanwhile, CAF are expected to officially confirm the news in the coming hours or days.
