West African Football Academy has finally tasted a victory in the GPL 2021/22 season after Justice Torsutsey’s late spot-kick goal at the Red Bull Arena, Sogakope in week five epic encounter.
Justice Torsutsey’s goal came following a penalty reward after the 90th minute plus additional 6minutes of the throttle.
The visitors, Olympics were expecting another win following their 1-0 victory over Legon Cities last week.
Great Olympics depicted an outstanding performance but they couldn’t take their chances to pick the maximum three points.
WAFA also hoped for their first win of the season and truly, they were able to break the deadlock for their first victory of the season.
The lads have now secured five points to leave the relegation zone and have moved up to the 10th position.
Dade Boys, Olympics are 4th on the table with 8points.
In week six of the season, WAFA will cross over to Dormaa for Aduana Stars while the Olympics will welcome Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
