Xavi Hernandez have sealed his second win for Barcelona with a 3-1 scoreline against Villarreal in away.
On 6 November 2021, Xavi returned to his former club Barcelona as the new manager replacing Ronald Koeman, on a contract until June 2024.
In his first game in charge, Barcelona defeated local rival Espanyol by a 1–0 scoreline at the Camp Nou in La Liga to win his first Catalan Derby as manager.
His second game was against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League where both shared the spoil after 0-0 scoreline.
The 3-1 away victory over Villarreal is Xavi’s second win for the Catalans.
The game ended with no goal in the first half but Frenkie de Jong snatched the lead for Barca just three minutes after returning from the break.
Samuel Chukuweze came in as a substitute to level the scoreline on the 76th minute but Barcelona retook the lead courtesy Memphis Depay and Coutinho to make it 3-1 at the dying minutes of the game.
Two games, two wins in the La Liga for Xavi and one draw in the UEFA Champions League.
The newly appointed boss will expect another win over Real Betis to maintain his unbeaten round next week.
