Sogakope based West African Football Academy have accused their competitors Asante Kotoko of stealing their head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
In a fresh allegation made on social media, Wafa are revealing for the first time the pains left in their hearts by Ghanaian Premier League giants Asante Kotoko after they appointed the then WAFA coach Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach on 19th September 2021 on a two-year deal.
Wafa had been struggling in the league since the coach left, after helping them to a third position in the league last season.
The former WAFA head coach replaced Mariano Barreto who mutually parted ways with the Porcupines. Coach Nartey with Kotoko has had an incredible performance since the GPL started.
Ogum has won 4 games and scored 8 goals with the Porcupines, leading the league table while WAFA has played five games and won a game, drawn two and lost two which gives them 5 points since the league started.
WAFA took to their Twitter page to pour out their anger and frustrations on Kotoko after a former director of Asante Kotoko Thomas Boakye-Agyeman, popularly known as Tomm Krugger wrote on the Wafa and Olympics match.
He wondered what might be wrong with Wafa as it’s no more the good team known, but the Wafa official handle quickly rebutted that comments are not taxed to which Krugger replied that it’s taxed through data.
Angered by the answer, WAFA straightaway asked the known Kotoko top man to rather concentrate on his team after Kotoko stole their coach.
The shocking accusation got Tomm Krugger and others laughing while other people showed their displeasure at the accusation ,wondering if the handle is indeed the official one of Wafa.
Tomm Krugger is a known Kotoko fan and ex official and is mostly seen around the team and with Kotoko officals, having been a reporter for the official mouthpiece of the club Kotoko Express since 2002,later becoming the Accra representative of Kotoko and a member of the Professional League Board (PLB).
