Following the 2-0 defeat to Ashanti Gold in the Ghana Premier League last week, the reigning champions Hearts of Oak did not return to Accra but the team left Obuasi for camping in Cape Coast prior to the CAF Confederations Cup tier with JS Saoura.
Winning the game was Samuel Boadu’s biggest dream after failing to secure a single win in his first four games in the GPL 2021/22 season.
The under pressure manager insists the atmosphere and the serene in Cape Coast was so good for their preparations towards the game.
Hearts of Oak secured a 2-0 victory over the visitors, JS Saoura in the first leg staged at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“For the Cape Coast camping, it helped us a lot because the serene and the atmosphere over there is quite good, we are all in the same area, nobody is going out and we have a lot of meetings that helped us a lot. Says Samuel Boadu.
The return league comes off Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Algeria.
