King Faisal midfielder Wadudu Yakubu has revealed their eagerness and readiness to end Kotoko’s unbeaten run as they lock horns on Sunday, 5th December, 2021 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League Week 6 action.
The battle is between top two leaders of the ongoing league and also tagged as Kumasi derby. Kotoko is placed on the first position with 13points whiles King Faisal sits second with 10points.
Talking about the upcoming Kumasi derby, Wadudu gallantly revealed how belligerent King Faisal players are ahead of tomorrow’s game.
“We are playing with no pressure right now but it doesn’t mean we will let others beat us. It’s a league, every team would be happy to win, and we are going into the park with a winning mentality, we are going in for a win. That’s what we mean. The preparations ahead of the game is good. Wadudu revealed.
“Everyone knows Kotoko but that doesn’t mean we should panic when playing against them, we are not thinking about that, it is just an ordinary match to us. It is a normal game just that the preparation is different because Kotoko is the biggest club in Ghana.” The midfielder told Isaac Ganyo Tamakloe of ghanasportspage.com.
The Porcupines have won four out of their five games with one draw and King Faisal also held once with one defeat and three victories.
