Goalkeeper of Accra Hearts of Oak, Richard Attah has apologized to Ghanaians and the supporters of the club after their worthless performance in both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup.
The reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League started the CAF Champions Leagues journey with a 2-0 victory over CI Kamsar at home in a single leg before being eliminated in the playoffs after a 6-2 aggregate scoreline against Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club and dropped to the CAF Confederations Cup.
Hearts of Oak went to Algeria for the second leg clash against JS Saoura with a 2-0 lead from Ghana but they couldn’t hold on to maintain the victory and were evicted after a 4-2 aggregate scoreline defeat to the Algerian side.
Despite not being in the post against Saoura in the second leg, Richard Attah has deeply apologized to Ghanaians and the supporters of the GPL reigning champions through his official Facebook page for not making them proud.
“We have made terrible mistakes that have hurt the fans that cared about us the most, and we’re sorry. we’re deeply ashamed of our terrible performance and our actions.”
Please and please we’re deeply sorry
