There have been various reactions to a video circulating on social media about the anger exhibited by the Hearts of Oak bench during the disgraceful 0-4 mauling suffered in Algeria at the weekend.
Hearts won the first leg of the Confederation Cup by two goals and look poised to qualify for the Group Zone only to be walloped by JSS of Algeria, which was shocking to the Algerians themselves. The Phobians committed schoolboy mistakes while they seem to lack leadership at the bench and on the field.
It was while the goals kept coming that voices started being raised at the bench as to how indisciplined, ungrateful, selfish, and disgraceful some of the players were. A particular voice believed to be that of the team manager of Hearts WO Tandoh kept revealing how pathetic the players and the team have become. Some of the words were very harsh but represented the true state of hearts.
“We play like women, t’s very painful, monny3 serious. Unnecessary complaints nkoaa, you touch this person and he start complaining, they feel you’re untouchables”.
You make people go and sit on radio and insult us. Let’s get home and let somebody say any silly thing, you’ll see. Somebody is wasting his money on you and look at what you’re doing here,ahhh why. Is this how we played in Ghana ?”, the voice kept ranting as others also joined with a few comments discussing how bad the team is.
Coach Samuel Boadu seem bewildered as he stood at the bench ring to understand what’s going on. This is in the wake of losing by a whopping six goals to WAC of Morocco, as well as lying at the bottom of the league table in the local league.
Meanwhile, while a section of the Phobian supporters are happy about the leaked video saying it exposes the rot in the team and it’s time Togbe must listen, others believe the saboteur or traitor who recorded and released the voice should be punished as he’s disgraced h Phobian family, they have become a laughing stock in Ghana and Africa.
