The Ghana Football Association is bracing itself up for tough fisticuffs with the National Sports Authority, owners of the Accra Sports Stadium after the NSA announced a temporary closure of the stadium to sporting activities.
The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced a temporarily closed down of the Accra Sports Stadium Starting from December 13th, 2021.
A statement signed by Prof. Peter Twumasi –Director General of the NSA said the stadium is closed for both football and athletics purposes with effect from Monday, December 13, to Sunday, 26 December 2021.
The statement said the closure is to enable the NSA and Ministry of Youth and Sports to have ample and uninterrupted time to fix critical places of the stadium. Attached is the full statement
This means, Accra Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, Great Olympics may not use the stadium for GPL matchdays 7, 8, and 9. Ghana Football Association is in crucial meetings with the NSA boss. Ghanaportspage.com will follow it and provide you updates.
