Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club have notified their lawyers to take an appropriate action against a local radio station Pure FM regarding their sponsorship with Gold Fields.
In October 2020, Goldfields Ghana announced a $300,000 sponsorship package with Medeama for the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
The sponsorship package was to cover the salaries of players and managers, medicals, accommodation, feeding, and logistics for the team.
The GPL club claims Pure FM system team made a malicious comment about their partnership deal with the aforementioned company and will take an approporiate action against them.
Report from the club as posted on their Twitter page indicates “The club has taken notice of a malicious claim by a local radio station Pure FM regarding our sponsorship with GoldFields LTD”
“We have notified our lawyers for appropriate advice and action.”
