Chief Executive Officer of newly promoted GPL side Nana Obiri Yeboah has rubbished the sacking reports of their German boss, Rainer Kraft.

Kraft, who has spent the last two seasons with the Lions guided the club to a Premier League status for the first time in its short history.

Multiple sources reported that the management of the high-flying GPL side has sacked their coach after six games in the GPL but the CEO of the club has denied the report.

Speaking to the authoritative online sports website ghanasportspage.com, Nana Obiri Yeboah revealed, “He has gone back home to Germany, at this moment he has few personal problems to draw back home that’s why we released him because he must solve that problem.

“The point is that we don’t know when he is coming back whether today or tomorrow, we don’t know.

“Personal issues are things that we cannot overlook, he will work as consultant whiles he is at home. I even had a chat with him this morning and he is fine. He said.

“We haven’t sacked him. That’s not the issue and I don’t know how the media captured that. We are making it clear that he is having a personal problem to attain. It will affect his mindset if we don’t allow him to resolve it. We are looking up to find somebody to step in as an interim. We will still monitor the situation in Germany and see. If permissible we will look at how to get him back.

“One of our assistant coaches James Francis will be in charge of our game against Karela United.” He added.

In six games in charge of Lions in the Premier League, Kraft managed only two wins and three defeats. However, the club has won over some fans because of an enterprising brand of football.
