PSG will play Real Madrid in the Round of 16
After 16 years active football with the thirteen times UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid the Spanish defender decided to leave the domestic league to join French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain after the 2020/21 season which was emotional.
At the same time, their rivals Barcelona also lost their all time best player Lionel Messi to the same club in France.
The veteran defender is yet to kick a ball in the Ligue 1 and this season’s UCL.
The UCL round of 16 stage games will come off February next year.
Multiple sources in Europe indicates that the 35-year old defender has pledged to do everything possible to help PSG to advance during their game against Real Madrid in the knockout stage which could be his first UEFA Champions League game since joining PSG.
