The Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi has confirmed to the general sporting public that there is no misunderstanding between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Ghana Football Association.
Speaking to Akoma 87.9 FM, Dasoberi denies a report of having a rift with the Ghana Football Association.
“There is a very cordial relationship between Kotoko and GFA. The GFA has a brand to protect likewise Kotoko, maybe along the line, there will be some differences, it doesn’t necessarily mean there is some kind of frosty relationship between us. He said.
“Personally, if you ask the General Secretary and the President of the FA, they are very good friends of mine, we have done a lot of private things together and therefore Asante Kotoko and the GFA cannot be fighting, not at all. If I tell you what Kurt has done for me privately, you cannot possibly imagine any friction between us.
I’m only protecting my brand, trying to do that, we might disagree on issues and that doesn’t create frictions or enmity among us. For instance, when we brought VEO, there were issues that later after some discussions, it were resolved.
“Kotoko is a member of the association and we will respect anything they (FA) want its members to do, I will conclude that there’s no fight between myself, Nana Yaw Amponsah(the CEO), and the FA, both parties are just protecting their respective brands.” He concluded.
