Hearts of Oak attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has emerged as the winner of the home-based male Footballer Of The Year.
Asante Kotoko captain Abdul Ganiu and Diawisie Talor of Karela United were competing for the honor but the U20 star advanced to achieve the award.
The youngster shined in the last season’s Ghana Premier League helping Accra Hearts of Oak to win the GPL after so many years and also won the MTN FA Cup.
As a captain, Barnieh helped the Ghana U20 to lift the African U20 Championship in Mauritania after scoring the final two goals of the competition.
