Kumasi Asante Kotoko are back to their winning way after securing a 2-1 victory over Legon Cities in Week 9 of the Ghana Premier League in Dewu.
Kotoko’s unbeaten round was halted by their rivals King Faisal following their goaless draw against Karela United in Anyinase and later shared the spoil with RTU at home in Week 8.
Getting back to the winning ways was their biggest aim as the Porcupines expected a victory over Maxwell Kanadu’s Legon Cities.
Cameroon U20 star, Mbella snatched the lead for the Reds at the 29th minute but they could not hold on the lead for a long period as it was levelled by Ahmed Rahman with a magic finishing at the 32nd minute to end the first half with 1-1 result.
In the second department of the game, things turned around for the Porcupines on the 78th minute to retake the lead courtesy Frank Etouga Mbella.
Coach Ogum dropped his midfield controller Fabio Gama from the starting lineup with a little change to adopt a new style of play.
Asante Kotoko will be on the 2nd position with 17points whiles Legon Cities have dropped to the 16th position of the relegation zone with 7points.
Kotoko will on week 10 welcome suffering WAFA who secured a slim victory over Medeama at home after winless in three games.
Legon Cities will also lock horns against Elmina Sharks in week 10 of the GPL.
