Mohammed Amin Adams, the Eleven Wonders player who made headlines after spending days in cells is now qualified to play for his club again. Techiman Eleven Wonders midfielder, Mohammed Amin Adams and the team’s manager Ernest Amoh were remanded for two weeks after allegedly assaulting assistant referee Jasper Adenyo who officiated their game against Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defender and the team manager reportedly threatened the referee in the dressing room over some decisions they felt he took during the game but were not fair.
Adams is yet to kick a ball since he was granted bail.
The midfielder is likely to start against Great Olympics in their next GPL fixture in Accra as revealed by the CEO, Engineer Andrews Fosu.
“They were remanded for two weeks, which would have ended on 20th December but we made an appeal and they were granted bail. They were released last Friday and we brought them to Techiman.
They appeared before the court yesterday and the judge told us that a football case is like a domestic case so we should find ways and solutions to solve it, we did a lot about it and we are still working on it and it is almost about 80 to 90percent done. I can say the case is over”
“The player is eligible to play now, he was red-carded which is three games suspension but he has served it. If not for the rules that have been changed he would have been in our squad against Aduana Stars in the FA Cup.
The card reflects in the competition so he will play against the Olympics if he is fit because he served the ban but the FA has formally served as a letter to drag them to Disciplinary Committee, we have tomorrow to file our defense. We will make that maybe today or tomorrow.” Mr. Fosu told Sir Martin on GL Radio in China.
Eleven Wonders are currently in the 13th position with 9points.
