Ghana’s pre-AFCON friendly against a club side in Doha has been called off according to spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum.
Black Stars were scheduled to test their fitness against Qatari club on Tuesday. Reports claims the game has been cancelled because of the number of players in camp.
Nine players are in the camp of the Black Stars now due to an extension of releasing African players in Europe to January 3rd.
“Per the current situation, it is unlikely the friendly the game will come on tomorrow,” Henry Asante Twum told Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
The team planned for three friendly matches including an international friendly against title holders Algeria before the tournament in Cameroon.
The Black Star have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and the Comoros Island.
