The defender parted ways with the reigning champions of the GPL on December 22nd (last week) after two years of deal with the club.
The 27-year-old defender left the Accra-based giants in 2014 to join El-Nasr Benghazi in Libya after making 20 appearances and scoring three goals in three years.
Sulley played a key role for Hearts to win both the GPL title and the MTN FA Cup last season.
The player seems to be disappointed about how his playing time or deal ended up with Hearts of Oak after his second coming.
He never expected his days with the club will end up like this. He aimed to end up with joy but he has regretted coming back to Phobia. He revealed this during an interview with the CEO of ghanasportspage.com, Sir Martin.
“First of all, I would say returning to Hearts of Oak did not help me because I came with a good heart so that the team can help me and to also get call up into the national team though I had a lot of offers from other Arab countries I wanted my name to be in the national team. I came with a good heart checking the wages at that time. It wasn’t good because of the presence of the COVID but I was able to sacrifice myself. Reporting with my fuel(s) always without paying back but not all of the issues have to be revealed. He said.
“All the same am just focusing on my career, for now, they failed me but I just wish the team the best of luck and I don’t whether know I may come back in the future as a player or for a managerial role. The team has helped me a lot because they helped me to come out as Nuru Sulley to be where I am today. I wish them the best of luck.” He concluded.
