Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac has almost all his players arrived in camp ahead of the team’s pre-tournament friendly match against the reigning African champions, Algeria on Wednesday.
Six regular players of the Black Stars set up reported in camp on Tuesday to join the group as preparations continue towards the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which is due to kick start on January 9.
Skipper Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan Pierre Ayew along with other UK-based players like Daniel Amartey, Thomas Partey, goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott have all arrived in camp the boost the team ahead of the international friendly match against Algeria on Wednesday scheduled for 16H00 GMT at the Education City Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Other players expected to arrive sooner rather than later include Baba Abdul Rahman, Khalid Abdul Mumin, Andy Yiadom, left back Alexander Djiku, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Philemon Baffour, Daniel Kofi Kyereh as well as Kudus Mohammed.
Meanwhile, Spanish side RCD Mallorca’s Iddrissu Baba Mohammed has also reported in camp to join his international teammates.
The Black Stars have been in camp in Qatar for preparations ahead of the 33rd Edition of the AFCON, and will take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco in their opening Group C game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday, January 10 2022.
