Bankroller for King Faisal has slammed the CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah over saying their city rivals were begging for points last season to rescue relegation.
This come after King Faisal defeated Asante Kotoko for the second time this season to show them the exit door during the MTN FA Cup round of 64.
The Inshallah Boys nearly relegated to the lower side last season but they were rescued during the last days of the league after ending the season with 41points at the 15th position on the league log.
Speaking to Isaac Ganyo Tamakloe of ghanasportspage.com, the veteran football administrator replied “We begged for points from who? This is not a problem. I have defeated his club. He should give his chairman respect, that’s all.
“Begging for points or not…is our own matter. We are playing league. We haven’t ended up with them. We will beat them again and he will see what is going on.
“God willing we will beat them again. Not only this season we have beaten Kotoko front and back, go to the history book. I don’t think about Kotoko but am thinking about the rest of the matches and the second round.” Alhaji stated.
King Faisal will play against Kumasi Asante Kotoko again in Week 23 of the Ghana Premier League.
Currently, the two Kumasi clubs are sharing the top spot with 23points.
