Umar Bashiru scored twice to end King Faisal unbeaten home record this season on Friday afternoon in week 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Inshallah Boys were expecting a recovery victory over Karela United after week twelve’s 2-0 defeat to Eleven Wonders in Techiman.
Karela United opened the scoreline to take the lead at the 22nd minute through 24-year old Umar Bashiru’s strike.
The hope of King Faisal to join Asante Kotoko at the top of the league log with 26points was halted at the 62nd minute after Bashiru had his second goal in the game following a penalty decision by the referee.
This is the first time King Faisal have lost at home this season and also back to back defeat in the GPL.
The 17points leaves the Anyinase based-club at the 8th position with King Faisal also sharing the 2nd and 3rd position alongside Aduana Stars with 23points.
