Ex-captain of the Ghana national team Asamoah Gyan has lamented over the Black Stars’ shocking 3-2 defeat to Comoros and the short exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Gyan missed out on this year’s tournament for the first time since 2006.
Ghana has never ended up the AFCON journey in group stage during the days of the former captain ‘Baby Jet’.
Ghana ended the journey winless in three games with only one point.
After Ghana’s disappointing performance and short exit from the tournament, Asamoah Gyan opened up his feelings after the whiles speaking on South African Tv station as a pundit at the tournament venue, Cameroon. Gyan also condemned the attitude of the players and made it clear that they cannot prevail with such kind of attitude
“I am very disappointed. You cannot win the game with that kind of attitude. You have to give the people something to talk about. I don’t know how people are going to feel back home”. Gyan stated.
Asamoah Gyan is the all-time top scorer in the history of the Black Stars with 51 goals.
He made his Black Stars debut in 2003 at the age of 17years and 362 days (three days before his 18th birthday).
