Kurt E.S Okraku, president of the Ghana Football Association was asked by Asempa FM’s sports journalist, Kwadwo Mensah Moshosho on their morning show to render apologize to Ghanaians following the humiliation performance of the Black Stars but the GFA boss declined to assuage the pain of the nation, ignored to apologise but called for calmness.
For the first time after 16-years, the Black Stars is out of the Africa Cup of Nations from the group stage as it happened in the name of Kurt Okraku’s administration.
All his words this morning during the interview on Asempa FM concerns the calmness and call for support towards the national team but ignored to apologide.
In his reply to the question of apology, Kurt emphasized, “I think I have said already that the performance of our players is not well expected. I understand how bad we are all hurt including me, am a Ghanaian and it beholds on all of us to speak our minds but also beholds on all of us to stay together as a family, help each other during this period and build the team that will truly represent Ghana.” Says Kurt.
In five weeks, the national team will play at the World Cup qualifiers play-offs to book a place for the major tournament in Qatar.
Ghanaians may ask, is this the team to represent Ghana with this abysmal performance?
