The Black Princesses of Ghana head coach Ben Fokuo has expressed readiness to qualify for the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup Costa Rica 2022 qualifier game against Uganda.
The Black Princesses of Ghana have traveled to the Capital of Uganda to lock horns with the young Crested Cranes of Uganda on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022.
The four-time U20 Women’s World Cup participants beat Zambia 1-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to advance to the next stage of the competition.
“We started the camping for about four months ago, we prepared for our first qualifier match against Mauritania and they withdrew from the qualifiers, due to financial problems so we got a walkover”
“we continued our preparation towards the next game which was against Zambia, we started well and the girls responded very well to my instructions”.
“We played a few friendly games to correct some lapses, Because of the great training we had, we were able to beat Zambia 1-0 in Cape Coast to qualify for the next stage of the competition. He explained.
“I aim to make sure that the team qualifies to the next stage of the competition so we must beat Uganda today. He promised. “I and the technical team are working hard to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
” I know we will qualify and make sure that we must win our game against Uganda. He assures. “we are ready, all ready, I trust them and I believe them, I know what they can do”. Coach Ben Fokuo told GFA Media.
