Black Stars duo, Joseph Paintsil, and Daniel Amartey has rendered an apology to Ghanaians over the national team’s disastrous performance at the 33rd edition of the AFCON.
The Genk midfielder, Paintsil, and Leceister City’s Daniel Amartey have admitted their mistakes and let down the hearts of Ghanaians.
The Ghana national team could not reach their destination as promised and expected. They left the tournament with an unpleasing and worse ever performance in Group C. They lost two and drew one.
It was a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat against Comoros on Tuesday evening in Garoua, Cameroon. The Black Stars could have sealed a place in the next round if they had beaten the AFCON debutant.
The entire nation is lamenting over Ghana’s worse ever performance at the AFCON. The Sports Ministry, the GFA, and the Black Stars are tied on the lips of Ghanaians with both encouragement and unmotivated words.
The duo rendered the apology on their official Twitter page.
