League leaders, Asante Kotoko demolished Accra Accra Great Olympics to extend their lead and unbeaten run in a GPL week 15 game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Kotoko won the game by 2-0 scoreline to snatch the necessity points at home.
Cameroonian striker Franck Etouga scored brace for the Warriors to maintain their good shape in the league.
The Porcupines were unchanged from the win over Medeama, but there was one alteration on the bench with Richard Boadu coming back after his suspension.
Etouga scored a freekick, sending the goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku to wrong way for his 7th goal of the season at the 8th minute of the game to put the home side on the lead. He later doubled the lead, hitting a first-time strike on a turn inside the box after Lamptey failed to hit it. Etouga’s strike hits the upright and rolls into the net as the keeper tried fruitlessly to palm it out.
The Dade Boys attempted to come out of their shells with a strong display in the midfield but the home side kept their top performance in the season to prevent Danlad to keep a clean sheet.
Kotoko maintained their 2-0 lead from the first half to win the maximum points after the full throttle.
They sit first on the league table with 33points whiles Great Olympics also sit at the 6th position with 22points after match day 15 of the GPL.
