Coming from a defeat against Karela United in their previous league game, Accra Hearts of Oak came out guns blazing against coach Nurudeen Amadu’s King Faisal as both sides squared off at the Accra sports stadium in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) match day 15 fixture on Sunday afternoon.
Accra Hearts of Oak, defending champions of the 2021/2022 league season, have been consistently inconsistent in their accumulation of results this season, a performance which is at the verge of ruling them out of the title race this season. The game against King Faisal, the only club to have beaten current league leaders Aasante Kotoko in the league this season (before repeating same in the FA Cup), was a must win game for the Phobians to at least keep them in contention.
Striker Kojo Obong Jnr pull up a wonderful strike against King Faisal in the first department of the game in Accra, and that was enough grasp all the 3 points at stake, defeating the ‘Babies’ after a great show of performance.
