Twenty-year-old Manchester United forward, Mason Greenwood has been accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend Harriet Robson.
It was reported this morning on the Instagram page of his girlfriend.
In some disturbing photos sighted, Ms. Robson shows bruises on her body with a caption indicating “To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood does to me”.
She later added an audio clip in which an alleged voice of Greenwood, is heard being abusive to her.
The young forward has scored five goals for the Reds this season in the English Premier League.
Pending an official investigation, Mason Greenwood could be suspended by Manchester United and could be found guilty.
The club has released a statement after allegations against the youngster emerged.
The Premier League club this morning said it is aware of “images and allegations circulating on social media” regarding the 20-year-old academy graduate.
A spokesperson for United said the club “did not condone violence of any kind”.
But further comment wouldn’t be made until facts had been established by the club.
In a statement, United wrote: “We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.
“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
