Ghana and former Inter Millan midfielder Sulley Muntari is on the verge of completing a move to Ghana Premier League greats Accra Hearts of Oak in what has been reported to be a one year deal, and coach Samuel Boadu looks enthused over the expected arrival of the former Udinese Star.
It was widely reported in the local media that Sulley Muntari had penned a season long deal for the Phobians on Sunday, but the club is yet to make any official pronouncement on Muntari’s arrival. The 37-year old robust midfielder has been training with Accra Hearts of Oak for the past weeks in a bid to get in shape as he eyes a move to the 21-time league champions.
It very certain that a deal will be reached between the Phobians and Muntari, which is expected to be announced sooner than later. Coach Samuel Boadu was asked after the game against King Faisal on Sunday about the possibility of Muntari joining his side Accra Hearts of Oak, and his response only rings a positive bell.
“Sulley is a motivator. He is a good guy. The day that I say him [at training with Hearts of Oak squad] how he advised the boys, it was amazing. So I believe that if Sulley will join the team, things will change”, Boadu told StarTimes after Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 victory over King Faisal on Sunday.
Sulley Muntari has been capped 84 times and has scored 20 goals for Ghana.
