Following the round 16 exit from the recent AFCON, the Elephants of La Côte d’Ivoire is planning to appoint their legend and Leicester City Football Club assistant manager Kolo Toure as the next coach for the national team.
Kolo Toure who is being considered as the next head coach of the Ivory Coast national team will be appointed as Patrice Beaumelle is expected to be sacked.
Toure has been part of the Ivory Coast technical staff since 2017.
The 40-year old manager represented the Elephants for fifteen-years before hanging his boots in 2015 after winning the AFCON which they defeated Ghana on penalties to lift the trophy in Equatorial Guinea.
